Workplace Violence Prevention Awareness
California’s NEW Mandatory Workplace Violence Prevention Plan was adopted and implemented July 1, 2024. California Senate Bill 553 (SB 553) includes Labor Code Section 6401.9 mandates that virtually all California employers (in General Industry (Non-Health Care Settings) develop and implement a written workplace violence prevention plan (WVPP).

- Review of key elements of the employer’s workplace violence plan, obtaining a copy,
- And the definitions and requirements under the Labor Code.
Training Frequency: Employers must provide initial and annual training.
