This course covers the topics below and prepares a candidate to understand the communication requirements between the Rigging crew, Crane Operator and associated workers related to lifting and placing loads. The successful candidate will have the basic understanding of where to stand, how to provide a second set of eyes to paint a picture of the load location and where the load will be lifted from and where the load will be set as well as the travel path considerations needed. The successful candidate will gain the basic understanding of crane and rigging related knowledge, such as moving loads (dynamic loading), boom deflection, orientation of operator’s position and directions in which to provide signals.
